I have been working with Marketplace Events now for over four years and I'm excited to be in Washington for our brand new Washington Home & Garden Show at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. I only have one show on my calendar in 2012 and it’s this one!
While I was hosting Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, we built a lot of houses, and helped transform the lives of so many people around the country. Helping those families make their houses useful, responsible, gorgeous homes was perhaps the most rewarding experience in my life and now I'm offering my home improvement and design tricks to a new audience through ABC's new show, The Revolution. On both shows I'm constantly amazed at how many incredible new ideas and products are available to make life at home easy and beautiful--and so many of those ideas and products can be found here at the Washington Home & Garden Show!
I enjoy going to home shows, so here's my advice for making the most of your time: Try to take in the whole show because you never know where just the right product or professional may be hiding. Ask tough questions and learn everything you can while you’re here. The thing about this show is that you will never find this many resources in one place – you just won’t. Look for the latest products because they can save you a ton of money and take advantage of our collective experiences to make your projects as easy as possible.
On Saturday, March 10 I’ll be appearing on stage to answer some of your questions, disclose behind the scenes secrets from Trading Spaces, EMHE and The Revolution, and share my passion for design. If you have the chance, please join me. Like all the exhibitors, I’m here to help you get inspired and improve your home. After all, home is the most important space you have.
